The Science Behind My Writing

Fanfiction. It's mostly humiliating for all parties involved. That's why I don't necessarily write it. The science behind good stories and inspired writing is simple when it comes to a fan based plot. Pick a character, build a plot, use inspiration from a song or interview to construct the frame of the story, include the band member in the story, write it and change all the names. Because my respect is so high for most of the people who inspire me to write I do not wish to write fictitious stories about them (I have no idea what their life is like, I'm an observer and admit that I don't know who they really are no matter how much I wish I did.) With that thinking it's easy to say that the band member in your story shares the appearance and as many manorisms as you could get your hands on of their speech and a name. So then change the name right? I mean think about it... if you don't know them then whatever you just wrote was simply a character, not the actual person. So make them a character. It's not who you put in the story that makes the story, it's the inspiration, and that's what really comes out of a fanfiction. Unless your just crazy, then no laws of sense apply anyway.

I agree with Maiden......when

I agree with Maiden......when I play my guitar, the hell with the writing......I just make it up as I play along....I play with my soul and let the energy flow with that. I do not write any tab or anything of that nature, I have to the power make it sound the way I want it to and a lot fo times, its aggressive or just down right eerie.

...holy crap...sweet

...holy crap...sweet shattering flesh....that's how I do ALL of my writing. You definitely know what you're doing (bias opinion here). Keep it up: it's the right way to write!
