Bad Mayhem Story

Alright so after somehow managing to get the very last spot for the Hartford CT stop when they increased the VIP party size to 30, I figured Mayhem=best day of my life right there. The night before the show, I could not sleep I was that excited. Took me about an hour or 2 of just laying there in bed before I finally passed out..The day of the show, I got everything together (laminate, ID, everything I was told I would need on this) and headed out. I waited outside of the arena's front gate for about an hour longer than normal, because the girlfriend was running late. But then it turns out, her parents (since they made her take them with us) were overprotective as hell, and wouldn't let us leave the group..meaning I couldn't go and ask someone where to get my wristband to get in (since there were multiple ticket booths, and nothing said where the VIP people should go). Finally when we convinced her mom to go and ask a couple of the workers, I gave her the laminate so maybe someone would know. She asked around for a while, and when she finally came back, she said no one knew what the hell the laminate was talking about (because it wasn't spelled out plain and simple enough, right?) So that upset the both of us, being the only ones that had the passes, but didn't get to use them because people there were freakin' idiots....The show itself was great, just would have been a hell of a lot better if it weren't for the upsetting feeling of getting screwed out of something that very rarely happens in a lifetime.

I'll agree, the employees/security at the Hartford show were infantile fuck ups. I wasn't VIP, but hey apparently I didn't miss much. Upside is, we still got our minds blown by some truly ass-kicking performances. A true display of music artistry.

VIP??? What a joke!

VIP?? That wasn't even the right terminology to use! Ok, I will be honest, I had a great time at the actual concert. Disturbed was AMAZINGGGG!! Buttt, the VIP "tent" or whatever was a joke. I got the wristbands with no problem. But then when I got to the tent, there was no free rockstar energy drinks, and all they gave you was grief. I went and asked one of the workers behind the counter for a free Rockstar drink and she looked at me like I had fifty-five heads and then told me, "No, we don't have any of those." Then she pointed at one that wasn't even cold and was sitting on a table and was like, "You can have that one..." and when I asked for a cup of ice since the damn thing wasn't even cold, she told me I would have to pay for the cup of ice. VIP was NOTTTTT VIP!! For anyone that missed the VIP thing, or didn't get on the "list" (which was bullshit too cause any idiot could just walk in) it wasn't even worth it. That's the last time I try and do anything VIP with Rockstar or whoever was arranging it. All in all, I had a good time, probably because I was shitfaced, but I wasss pissed about the VIP shit. Whateve, I got to meet and get a picture with the lead singer, ZP Theart, from Dragonforce before I left the concert! All in all, good concert. Bad VIP.

So basically it wasn't as amazing as the ads for it made it sound? Cause my XBox Live videos said Slipknot and Disturbed themselves would come out and play Gears of War 2 in the VIP booth a lot..figured if I got in I'd get a chance to play against them and meet them in person. But from what you said, they didn't come out did they?

I was at the CT show and I found the wrist band very easy, ( email said to go to will call) I went got the band and was directed to where the tent was. That was the easy part, No i knew going in that the only thing the wristband got ya was access to the "rockstar" tent and was only going to get unlimited rockstar energy drink, i was fine with that, the thing that I thought was kinda messed up was that the 2 retards that were standing at the entrance of the tent wasnt checking anyone for wristbands, After all the fiasco and confusion of this "VIP" list all i had to do was just walk in and grab a drink, Didnt feel so "very important" after that. All for all the show was great and we had a lot of fun. Cant wait till next year. Thanks Disturbed for letting us feel "special" even if it was for only having a piece of plastic on our arms.

Yeah I know what the emails said..just never been to that arena before so seeing a place to give your tickets to workers, and another booth to buy any available on the spot, I didnt know which one they considered the will call.

Well at first, I didn't find the VIP area myself. But I asked around and finally asked someone in white shirts (VIP management) where I could get the special wristbands. They directed me right to the Box Office and I got my wristbands there.

Ah dude, that sucks! >.O at least you got to go to mayhem!

But I don't get it, don't you think?
Maybe we could out it on credit don't you think?
It can take control when I don't let it?
I get stupified!
It's all the same, you say, live with it!
