VIP?? WHAT VIP???

im just now returning from my trip to Chicago that ended up being a nightmare in ways

sure, the main reason i went to to this was to see the bois, Disturbed. thats what i call them.

getting and leaving there was another story

getting lost in most of the town, venue, hotel we were staying at.

cuz of that, we arrived at the show, maybe 20 minutes after it started. i go to will call. to get the wristbands....im told to go to another line, which was long,

they tell me to go to gate 6 after i wore them.

"nope that wristband isnt used for this. try the other side'

other side *white tent*

sorry dude, i had other people come here, this is a XBOX VIP.

go to information

"go to the box office and they'll take care of you"

go to box office

"its here........we jsut dont know where they are at. try looking for a sign"

wow. somebody POORLY planned this

now im a big Disturbed fan myself but i was wanting to check out the other bands, but i WASTED 2 hours, missing soil, airborne, 36 crazy fists and a few others.

that and cuz of the stupid curfew law *why you let the kids in?*, the set times were all screwed up.

BOTH Mastodon and Dragonforce *not that i care for DF* were playing the same time Machinehead AND Underoath were playing.

i got an autograph from the bois of 5FDP and BlackTide at least.

just VERY dissapointed that the VIP or lacktherof, managed to make the day much worse than it already was.

i love Disturbed, regardless, they are number one in my heart and honestly, i was thinking so positively that things couldnt get fucked up there but was i surprised.

ah well

VIP wasn't bad, but not as advertised

The Rockstar VIP wasn't bad, but it wasn't as advertised. The Rockstar Tent was located on the Northwest side of the venue by the Hot Topic and Jager stages. It wasn't limited to the 30 on the list for the show, everyone was in there. The only part that was limited to the "VIP" list was the small tent w/ the two couches in it. I spent most of my time in the other Rockstar VIP section located by gate 6. This was on the south side of the pavillion and was like a covered deck w/ two levels. We had our own private bar and bathrooms. There was no "free food" as there had been at other shows. The food was very expensive ($11.00 for a hotdog, $17.00 for nachos). The best part of this section was not having to wait in lines for the bathrooms and you could walk right up to the bar and order a drink without waiting. We even had a good look to the stage and the TVs gave us even a better view.

Disturbed rocked the house!!! It was awesome to hear the songs off the new album including "Criminal" which in my opinion is the best track of the new stuff. I still think they should of gone on after Slipknot, but since they didn't I was able to skip out at about 10 mins early and not wait 1-2 hours in the parking lot.

i was told to go by Gate 6. and they were quick to say "sorry you're not allowed in there" cuz my wristbands werent good enough. only for like the people who are VIP members of the venue there or something. idk.

i did notice that tent but when i saw that nobody had their wristband on, i figure it was just some other place they were selling Rockstar. im not a fan of the original stuff. hell i work for Coke and we sell alot of that around here. i rather go for the Punched or the Juiced flavors.

just mad that having to look for it made me miss alot of bands.
