Likes And Dislikes on the New Cd

I will start with the dislikes. I think that the CD is Great up to Perfect Insanity. Then the drum beat and the bass on top of it becomes annoying. What I am speaking about is the begining of the songs. I think the Drum beat should be taken away from the Bass. I would like to see more seperate bass lines, for example the Disturbed song "GOD OF THE MIND," that is a nice use of bass. I think that David's beautiful voice is overpowered by the drumming. What I love about Disturbed is the interesting beginnings on there songs, which lead up to the drum beat and then David's voice or grunts or laughter. The middle of their songs always have a great guitar solo to look forward too. In this CD Dan tried too hard to do too many different types of guitar solos. I do appreciate the man's effort, but if you take one style and built on it it can be just as interesting, maybe change up a song or two. The songs are well written and sung. My favorite is The Curse, now this is a great example of how you build up the beginning of the song with a great intro. And the song takes something bad and puts a positive spin on things. I also, like Enough and how real David sounds when he says, When your heart is broken a million times. I can hear my favorite bands in this Cd, like LaCuna Coil, Rob Zombie, Him and Korn. I also love the ezxtra song Run.

disagree almost entirely. dan's solos all sound amazing and varying the styles to show his diversity is never a bad thing. the use of the whammy in the curse sounds incredible and though it is different from the rest of his solos, fits nicely into the song as do all of dan's solos. I DO agree that david's voice in the chorus of enough whenever he says "when your heart is broken a thousand times with every moment" is in-fucking-credible. I didn't expect it and it sounds so good in the song. I guess i tend to pay less attention to the bass line, so i will refrain from commenting about it, though i personally like john's bass, and fuzz's too of course. as far as the drum goes, i love to be able to hear the drum, but did not find it overpowering at all. mikey and dan really complement each other well on this album i found. that is my opinion of this album.

The bass

Maybe the trouble with the bass on P.I. lies in the fact that they had to remove Fuzz's bass lines from the original to erase him out of it. It would have been much better if they had cleaned up the original as written & added the guitar solo. JMO. RE-doing that song killed me... geez I thought I missed Fuzz before but NOW...

C'mon everyone... pity party for BigGayPeg... "aaawwwww"

I agree, of course I miss Fuzz, who wouldn't. But John is capable and they should give him a song he can build on. The CD is growing on me. A friend of mine was listening to it with me and said the drums were a bit military. And that might have been the sound they were going for. I do like the Cd. Overall.
