why is the first album always the greatest?
it seems like no matter what band your talking about. whether it be disturbed, tool, or even as far back as van halen. the first album is always the greatest one. I just really dont get it. does anyone know why this is? why does the music always get softer?.

i don't think it's a matter
i don't think it's a matter of the albums getting softer.....i one thing that holds disturbed apart from other bands like godsmack and sevendust is that they always find a way to change it up but still keep that "disturbed" sound....the 4 albums all have different elements to them that make them special and able to stand on their own but enough similarities to make it a disturbed album.....so i wouldn't say softer or better....i would say different.........and for the record....indestructible could give the sickness a run for it's money:)
I'm not so sure about
I'm not so sure about softer. Maybe instrumentally softer, but thats a big maybe. If you listen to the lyrics they are really dark and heavy. I'm not sure Indestructible is much softer than The Sickness. But either way, they are both really really good albums, as are Believe and Ten Thousand Fists
