Disturbed
Hello all,
I am writing this blog to say that Disturbed lives up to the name in many ways. The music is of course excellent, however the recent video should really be redone in my opinion. It would be much better to not show David as Satin, but as the person in love and who suffers because of his lost girlfriend. Maybe they should use the Images off of the cover to provide this look and feel. Otherwise it seems as though David wants to be Satin, and I hope that isn't the case. I have known for some time he was once a Rabbi, and also graduated in Philosophy so I know of his intellect.
My real question is, is Disturbed pronouncing evil as superior, or good as the ultimate freedom from living a Disturbed life, which we all do at times.
I have enough trouble maintaining my own Perfect Insanity to think they are progressing to a point where there would be no looking back but headed for the abyss.
Any opinions can be sent to garner.jamest@yahoo.com and David if your out there and read this, I would like to know what your thoughts are because it's obvious you struggle with good and evil in everything the band writes.
There can be only one Victory, and its either good, or its evil, and which side are you on?

I think you missed the point
the object was not to potray David as evil, (I've heard he's jewish so im pretty sure he'd take offence to that) the point of the video was supposed to be the stuff that goes through your head when horrible shit like that happens. David's line of thinking was probably along the lines of that if he killed himself he would be able to be with that person again. the title of the band "Disturbed" means just that, disturbed. to be disturbed is not to be evil, or crazy, it is to have seen those borders, stood along their lines, and in this case, refused to cross them. when something that bad happens to you it can really screw with your head, and if you refuse to cross the border it can do even greater damage, because sometimes even if you refuse to cross the border, you can never leave it. it is always there staring you in the face, and all you can do is either give in and cross the border, or stand firm and continue to refuse despite the pain it could cause you.

much the same as what she said. also, may i add that david also portrays the dark urges inside the man whenever he is shown as drenched in blood. but the david in the "scene" itself merely portrays as was said, the conflicted individual who finds his gf after she's committed suicide.
