Hate and the human mind

Hate can be all-consuming, a driving force, possibly even hidden strength. However, we are tought to supress such feelings, programmed to think they should never be expressed, but we've all seen what happens when supressed hatred is set loose, all that build-up, so much it creates something worse than any emotion or thought. So I ask you, is it REALLY a good thing to supress your hatred rather than let it out bit by bit as it comes?

I think that it is important

I think that it is important to let your anger out so that it doesn't build up until you can't control yourself any longer. I think yelling at the person who made you angry is the perfect way to accomplish that. Or listening to angry music. I listen to Violence Fetish when I'm angry.

Great minds think alike I see

That's exactly the song that I listen to (or think of) when I'm pissed. One line in particular "You are a time bomb tickin' away" helps describe the point I'm trying to get across. Also one of my favorite songs of all time.

Thanks for that. I really like it when people understand my views.

it depends

it all depends on how you release it. I mean if you go on a rampaging killing spree in order to release your anger and hatred then its gone way too far.take for example love, if you cannot release it then it can build up until you either end up stalking someone or killing them.

All eotions need to be released somehow, but it is up to us to use the strength properly and not go off like a madman.

We also need to be more attuned to our emotions, if you just let something stew, its just going to build up until you no longer can control it.

Shattered doll, desperate
Oh so innocent and delicate
But too damn obdurate and obstinate, to let go
Broken down, hurt again, it never ends
Frightened and trembling

Exactly..

...what I'm trying to get at, built up hatred is what causes people to do stupid shit like that, but, when let out in non-criminal actions and let out more focussed and less over-board, it is a great aspect of the mind, gives determination and strength.

Great examples of what not to do with your hate.
