I notice a lot of arguement over Fuzz's contributions to Disturbed. So, I want to know who you think is better. I'm not asking you to argue politics, I want to know who you think is a better musician. I, personally like John Moyer more.
So, what I'm asking is...

Asylum bass intro
Fuzz was a beast of a bass player and he was fun to watch cuz the dude was all over the place he had a ton of energy.... John Moyer is more of a chill kinda guy which is typical for bass players so thats cool too... i honestly didn't see a difference in the band after Fuzz left until i heard John Moyers bass intro from Asylum... two words HOLY SHIT!!!!!!! thats an epic bass intro so therefore i say John all the way!

i prefer the sickness and believe. the bass was more creative imo, and focus has since shifted toward the electric guitar. the bass has almost become more of an addition than an integral part, not that it doesn't still sound great, i love john and he's a great dude. but i prefer the music disturbed produced before he came a little more than that made after.

Agreed 100%. There aren't going to be many votes for Fuzz on this forum because a lot of the fans of the first 2 albums aren't on this site. I feel exactly the same as you do about the music, and about John. He went out of his way to make the fans feel appreciated when I met them.

hahah that girl fuckin pissed me off. every single blog, every single day all that came out of her mouth was fuzz this fuzz that...get over it!!!! and she liked to say people were disrespecting him if they didn't prefer him over john. give me a break, i have all the respect in the world for fuzz, i still prefer john's playing over his. i still feel bad for the guy to get kicked out of a successful band when he was "living the rockstar dream", but things happen, he's moved on, as have the fans and the band.

Check my blogs - I didn't say Fuzz was the only thing good about Disturbed. I didn't say anyone's preference for John disrespected him.
The POINT of my blogs is that Fuzz was not properly CREDITED for HIS work. I don't care about your personal preference. It's OK for YOU to say you prefer John but if someone says they preferred Fuzz they're whining. My blogs haven't been about preference at all. The only thing I said was that I was upset when he was kicked out, in a blog where I was pointing out the emerging pattern of continued backstabbing as he's not credited.
Even if my personal preference was John, I would still say it's shady to release songs Fuzz helped write without crediting him. And I would still say he deserves his plaque for The Sickness going 4x platinum. Any Disturbed fan, to say differently, is disrespecting him... especially when they base their opinions on LIES such as "Fuzz quit", which, even if it were true, is irrelevant to the fact that he deserves credit for HIS work.
If the band has moved on, they should be men enough to give credit where credit is due when releasing songs written back in the 90's, and give Fuzz the plaque he earned by the success of The Sickness.
Why would it piss anyone off that a fan of this band demands recognition for an original member?

Your response above was in agreement with someone referring to a "chick" & to my blog. The other poster you're referring to is a dude. I simply clarified what I have said, as these posts insinuate things I have not said.

haha yeah i know. she's the first that would come to mind. but actually i had to think deeper about it, and it turns out the person i was talking about was actually on a different website. she said something about fuzz and was whining about how they won't credit him for anything and all this and that what happened to him wasn't right. so i said we have no certainty if what fuzz said is the whole truth. none of us were there, so we don't know what actually happened behind closed doors. but she said i was disrespecting him by saying he may have been lying. it was a stupid argument haha.

it's too often the one that results though. the whole he said, they said bullshit. we all love the guys, and most people who rave about fuzz do so cuz they loved him and what he did for the band and want him to be remembered and not seen as a quitter and defamed. it sucks that the parting was so hush-hush and shady that it casts shadow on the whole band (including fuzz). most people don't want to see this fall on the members they love (be it fuzz or david or whomever) and thus it turns into a heated dispute with no one really knowing exactly what happened and nothing getting resolved.

No, that was probably me. Or one of my friends but most likely me. I've talked to Fuzz, Dan, and several people who know the band personally. I base my conclusions that Fuzz isn't lying on what I've learned in those discussions. If you insinuated that he was lying, I would take offense. Most fans of the current lineup will dummy up when it comes to defending his honor... somebody has to do it. Like when his name was simply replaced with John's on some sites in the bio as if John was always the bass player, or the time someone replaced his name with John's on the Believe credits on Wikipedia... People shouldn't be misled & proper credit should always be given.

Personally, I prefer John. I just like his playing style a little better. The way he plays, I noticed a huge difference in the rhythm section.

One big difference I notice, and like more, is that Moyer's style is at a faster pace than Fuzz. And the rythym stands out more.
