anyone know what 4 religions the band is?
anyone know what 4 religions the band is?
In the opening of one their Videos, it says, "4 members, 4 religions, they stand for who stand for them...", and I've searched the internet high and low, and can't find anything about which four the religions are. judging by the band's symbol, I guess two of them are a for of Christianity, and another Muslim (I'm just judging by the holy cross in the middle, and the crescent moon associated with Islam just above it). I also see what maybe the star of David, so, I'm guessing the third might be Judaism, but I could be wrong about the star of David thing. and then behind that there is a standard 5 point star, which I do not know if there is any religion associated with that. there also appears to be a circle that's been separated into 4 equal pieces in the very back, and again, I do not know if that's associated with any religion.
so, if some one could give me a definate on what exactly the four religions are, that would be great. thanks

Dude are you serious? It's
Dude are you serious? It's four religions it can't be two of them being Christian then it would only be 3. One of them is Christian, one a Muslim, one a Jew. The five point star is a symbol for Wicca or paganism.
religions
guys the star is the jew symbol and notsomething satanic
The 4 religions
•The circle that is split into four is a cross of one of the sects of Catholicism.
•the 5-pointed star, or a pentagram can stand for Wicca, or Paganism, seeing as none of the members are female its a Pagan symbol.
•the star of David is a symbol of the Jewish faith.
• the crescent moon is for Islam.
None of the symbols are satanic, so just get that out of your head. The entire thing was meant to mean that all people, no matter their faith can come together, Draimen explains this in an interview a while back.
answer
well the 5 point star is there and the circle thats divedde into 4 pieces is around it so one is probably satanic. the circle might be divided into 4 pieces because thers 4 religions
lol I know which video you
lol I know which video you are talking about on YouTube for the Ten Thousand Fists...unfortunately Disturbed has no official video for this song so this is a fan made video and you can tell by the way the video moves.
Judging by the user, I'd say that they are simply guessing as well as searching all over the internet, no where has anyone confirmed which religions these guys belong to except as a few people mentioned, David Draiman, lead singer, is a confirmed Jew but not really orthodox. As for the other members, it is not really known. I did see the pentagram, a Wiccan symbol, on the bassist's bass once and it was just the pentagram, so maybe he's a Wiccan of some sort. I think I may have heard about the drummer being a Christian too. One being Muslim sounds very odd to me for some reason, anywho, just thought I''d leave you a comment on what I know and think.
the five point star
the five point circled star is a religious symbol often used by wiccans. the following gives a better description of it and what the points and the circle represent.
Traditionally, each of the five angles has been attributed to the five metaphysical elements of the ancients:
EARTH: (lower left hand corner) represents stability and physical endurance.
FIRE: (lower right hand corner) represents courage and daring.
WATER: (upper right hand corner) represents emotions and intuition.
AIR: (upper left hand corner) represents intelligence and the arts.
SPIRIT: (at the topmost point) represents the All and the Divine.
The Circle around the star represents the God-Goddess; it refracts and reflects all light, bringing to the wearer total intelligence, universal wisdom and protection.
Lightening up my soul
To keep myself busy
And not think of time
Fill the space of my mind
With music to pass the time
I've wondered that.....
many a times, yet come to the conclusion that it doesn't really have any bearing on anything, because the overall tonation of the message and vital energy they're sending out is one of uniting our hearts with mutual respect for ALL life, all entities, all belief mechanisms.!
The important thing to me is that they are combining all their wisdom, unconditional love, and presence through the space of sound and rythme... and projecting their perfection into a world that's aching for their particular message!
It's kinda cool to know which 4 though, curiosity and wonder wraps around that, most definitely!
I LOVE THEM ALL and wish them all the health, wealth and ... most importantly the immortal love in which they're definitely inclined to receive.... and have already embraced!
as for me, I say .. >>

Hope this helps.
David is Jewish. Although not overtly religious. The other members say they are "spiritual". The symbol you're talking about has several different religions repersented, but those are not the beliefs of the band. It's more of a "why can't we all get along" kind of thing.
You have Christianity
Judaism
Islam
Wicka
I'm thinking they picked those particular ones because to be honest they look really cool super-imposed on each other.
that's kinda what I thought,
that's kinda what I thought, but I was hoping that it was true. that one was Jewish, another Islamic, one a christian of some form, then the fourth being something else. But, i was kinda expecting something like what you just told me, because I researched a little more and there are 5 (cross, crescent moon, star of David, 5 point star, and then the circle divided into 4) separate symbols. all of which I assume are religious symbols.
Acctually..
Acctually I think most people might be a bit wrong on one of the religeons.
Wickan yea, Jeudiasm yes, Islam yes, christianity no.....
I think the circle with the cross in it is acctually an altercation of the Budhist wheel.
