all hope is gone? the experement that could?
has anyone else purchaced the album? the direction cory took with the vocals is very interesting, i'm a decent fan and was suprised. they kinda purged with this album and with a diffrent emotion than anger for once. it makes the title suiting onl it's and angle of depression oppossed to angst. its different. the first four songs are pretty much the heavyist songs on the album except for the title track and the rest have this feeling of vermilion or wait and bleed. it's good don't get me wrong but its suprising. wats everyone's opinion if u got the album and don't take this the wrong way, it's growth, something all bands need to be able to do. and like cory said it is an experemental album.\m/
final opinion : over all a very good album though die hard fans will be suprised!

I just got my copy of slipknot's special edition of all hope is gone and I love every song so much I agree that this is slipknot's best album to date great fucking album can't stop listening to it I am gonna make sure that I listening to the fucking shit out of the album .peace out fellow maggot .

I've only listened through a couple of times so far, but, i must say that though it sounds like Slipknot, it doesn't sound like stuff they've done before. I can't say whether I love it or not, but i like it, and it is quite impressive what they've done. It's different from alotta the music of today. My fave song is probably Sulfur, but it is quite a great album musically and very creative. definitely worth several listens even if you're not totally feeling it the first time.

Just Listened to it. It is a cool CD. Corey's voice has more of an echo effect on it, instead of scream voice. I like Psychosocial, the best. Sulfur is cool too. Gehenna sounds like Marilyn Mason. Snuff is the slow song. And All Hope is Gone is a good theme song for the CD. And Dead Memories almost sounds like Pantera's Cemetary Gates. So it has alot of interesting sounds to it. I like it.

i love the new album, first Slipknot album ive bought (my bro gave me the first one) and i must say that i was quite immpressed, my fave song was Snuff, i love the lyrics in that. geez they put my mask to shame, then again mine is just a painted one
