Drumming

So I'm pretty much just starting out on the drum set, though I've been in percussion for a while. I've got a crappy set, but that doesn't matter. I want to learn to drum more like Mike Wengren and Danny Carey from the band Tool. Does anybody have any tips? I can do basic beats right now, with a few more advanced ones, but advice would be appreciated.

Drumming

I am a self taught drummer. What worked for me was cranking up the music and playing along over and over until I learned the songs. It's a lot of hard work but worth it. I would play for hours. I would also use headphones which also helped. I would also go see the bands live and watch the drummers. I wanted to see how they played specific parts to certain songs. Then I would go back home and start the above over again. It's all about playing and playing until you get it. Good luck.

Drums.

Drumming isn't hard at all. Close your eyes, think of a beat and make it with the sound of the drums. That's how I did it. I've been a drummer for about 4 years now, I started in the ending of my 8th grade year because of my friend being a drummer, and I was teaching to play guitar. Well if you need anymore tips you may message me.
