Disturbed Comes Back To South Suburbs Of Chicago
I just wanted to give a huge THANK YOU to Disturbed for rocking the hell outta The Pearl Room last night!! They were absolutely FABULOUS!! I was in the front row up against the barracade. It was insane, but WELL WORTH IT!!! Thank you for kicking the hell out of the South Side suburbs again. It WAS a long time since you were back, but it really was worth the wait. That was really a special treat for us South Side Chicago fans.

The guys were VERY close even with the barracade. They were able to reach out and touch the fans...and David, Dan and John all reached out and slapped a few hands...very cool. John handed me a guitar pick. VERY cool. :) It was funny when Dan was right in front he was headbanging and his sweat and/or water from his hair he poured over his head hit me quite a bit. Cracked me up when the security guys kept ducking and wiped the sweat/wetness off of them. :D
Again, Disturbed....THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for that VERY SPECIAL show!!

So the rumors were true
I had heard that they might play Chicago. If I hadn't been in Ohio for the second day of Rock On The Range, I might have made the trip. But I guess seeing them twice in three days is enough to tide me over til the new CD drops (not really, but I don't wanna be greedy) I saw them play in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and it was AMAZING. I was third row the whole set, and got one of Dan's picks. I got some great pictures, but I can't figure out how to post them here, so I posted some of them on MySpace.

VERY cool that you got to see them that much in a row! Sorry you missed the show, but great that you got pics and one Dan's pics (sorry, didn't mean to rhyme). There was NOOOOO way I was going to be able to get pics. I had to hug the rail a few times to keep my spot and I was SQUASHED!! HA!! WELL WORTH IT though. :D

yeah, i know how that rail hugging goes with several thousand people behind you haha. i got so dehydrated during it and down a liter of water in about 5 minutes afterwards...but it was worth every drop of sweat and bruised rib and sore vocal chord \m/

Call me a bitch do ya??? NICE!!! ;) Yes, that was a great show and the Chicago fans were very lucky that they chose to do a special show at home. It really was great.
While waiting for Disturbed to come on, they had DWTS playing over the speakers, but the real kicker was that it was a remix. It actually was a Jazz/Blues DWTS...it was too funny...to hear the voice sounding so nice and smooth singing (imagine snapping your fingers) "you fuckers get up come on get down with the sickness"....seriously...it was great!

Yes, it was definitely a sweet show. I'm sorry you missed it. It was a very intimate show...about 2,000 people. Disturbed, I'm sure, had quite a lot of friends and family there. David mentioned that it was great to be back home, especially playing the South suburbs where they all began. It really was a great show. They were fantastic. The Pearl Room is only about 15 min. from where I live. It was really special that they ended their warm-up run (as David called it) in their home town. :)
