How and Why?

I was checking out the DOD film, which I enjoyed very much, but what I enjoyed most of all was hearing the stories of my fellow Disturbed fans of how and why they started listening to Disturbed. The first song I ever heard from Disturbed was Voices and I immediately fell in love. I've been a fan ever since! Their music has helped me out in different stages of my life and I hope to meet them one day to let them know how much I love and appreciate their music.

So here's the question for my fellow Disturbed Ones... How and Why did you get into Disturbed?

I introduced my mother (now

I introduced my mother (now deceased) to the song The Sickness and she fell in love with those guys when that album came out (thanx to my old supervisor back in 2001). Before she passed, I vowed I would learn to play The Sickness. Well, now, she never actually got to listen to me perform the song and now with the band I am in, I play that at least once during practice and when I do, I get very emotional. I have been listening to them ever since, they are my foundation and my "religion".
