Disturbed rock Christchurch!
Wow, what an awesome show last night. They brought the whole house down. No-one was left in their seat - the whole Westpac Centre was a sea of raised fists. They wanted Christchurch to make some noise and we did, without a doubt. A brilliant set with outstanding performances from each of them.
Redline did a great job of opening the show, followed by Alter Bridge who were awesome, P.O.D. followed and although I'm not a particular fan of theirs they do a great live performance.
Disturbed opened with the same start as Mayhem - David being wheeled in wearing a straightjacket and Hannibal Lecter style mask then launching into Perfect Insanity. A terrific set followed with a few standards from the last tour e.g. Stupify, The Game, Down with the Sickness, Stricken, Deify as well as a new set list including several from Indestructible - Haunted, Indestructible, Divide, Inside the Fire along with Land of Confusion, Liberate, Just Stop.
DVD
My package from Warner arrived today and I've just finished watching the DVD. What a fascinating insight into the band's process for creating the album. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it and will doubtless watch it again.
It's not long now until they get here to Christchurch, less than a month, and I'm so looking forwarding to hearing them again, particularly hearing some live renditions of the new album material.
Fingers crossed for a Meet & Greet when they're here :)

I'm Inside the Fire...
Finally Warner are shipping out here to New Zealand and I've managed to get a code. OK so I had to buy the album again, but hey I don't mind - I get a DVD with it this time which of course I didn't get by downloading from iTunes. I ordered a couple of T shirts at the same time so I'm ecstatic.
The automated email that was supposed to be sent out containing the code didn't arrive so I took Spoox' advice and emailed fansupport - they responded straight away with the code. I really don't understand why so many people have been having problems getting their code.
It's great to actually be able to get right into the site now - I never realised how much I was missing without the code.
I'll be uploading some photos later on - they're old ones, from their last show here in Christchurch.

My latest rantage...
I really don't know if anyone cares to read these blogs but it's a great way to vent and have a little rantage.
So, I went off to Ticketek yesterday to get my daughter her ticket. Her friends had got theirs and were so excited to be right at the front behind the mosh pit.
Hang on a goddamn minute -
- I queued on 10th July before the box office opened so that I could get a place right at the front. Now it seems that Frontier Touring (in their infinite wisdom) have decided that the venue needed to add an extra block of seats in front of the original front row. Now I've got so many people in front of me I won't be able to see a thing.
Who the fuck thought it would be a good idea to add extra seating at a rock concert?????? Extra seating???? The standing area is now completely sold out but rather than keep that area full size and get another 1,000 people in, they have added seating so that they can get in about half that number....go figure!!!
Messages....Have I lost mind...
We have been told on the site to send messages using the "messages" button at the top right of the page. I may be losing my mind but there is no "messages" on my screen. I did ask Spoox about it and she said it could be that only people with a code can access it????? That's hardly fair as people outside the US can't get a code.
Seems odd to me - I can't get into my messages at all unless I receive a new one, not even into my sent items or re-read stuff I received. The only way I know I have a message is if I go into "my profile" and there is a line at the top telling me I have one - I'm supposed to get an email informing me that there is a message waiting - hasn't happened so far despite having received several messages here. Is this a serious flaw with the website or have I lost my mind????
Who else is having the same problem?

Last time I saw Disturbed I took my elder daughter. This time round my younger daughter is begging to be allowed to go! I hope it's "all ages" at Christchurch (pretty sure it is). Here I go for another trek to Ticketek!!
I still haven't heard whether the band are doing any Meet & Greets this time round. That would be fantastic - they let me take my daughter backstage with me last time, it would be really great if I could take my other daughter this time round. She'd be the envy of all her friends and it would make her year...and mine.

Shock, horror - there were six people in the queue in front of me when I got to the Ticketek office at 8.45 this morning!!!
All in all, I'm glad that I didn't get the ticket during the Pre-sale. I picked exactly the seat that I wanted and am now counting down the sleeps till September 12th.
It's now 10th July down here so the countdown starts with 64 to go!!!
Oh, the disappointment...
I logged onto Ticketek at exactly 2.00pm ready for the Pre-Sale to start and was stunned to find that the allocation of reserved seating was already exhausted. I can't work out how that's possible - I guess the seats have gone to radio stations etc. so that they can give them out as prizes.
Good luck to anyone else buying in the Pre-sale. If you want to go down into the circle pit you'll have no trouble - I'm too old to want to get in there!! I was really counting on a front row seat, right near the stage, like I got last time.
Oh well, I guess I'll be waiting at the doorstep of the Westpac Centre at 9am on Thursday to get a ticket when they go on general sale.
Yay...Disturbed in New Zealand
The new tour dates were announced this morning and they are definitely coming. The date has changed from 13th September (Christchurch) to 12th September. Tickets go on sale at the end of next week.
Excellent!!! I can't wait.
To tour or not to tour...
Disturbing news just released... New dates to be announced for the New Zealand tour on Monday 30 June. Tickets were due to go on sale on Friday 27th for the Christchurch show on 13th September. Now I don't even know if they are still coming down here :(
There is still, annoyingly, nothing posted on this site regarding any shows after the US shows in August.
Warner, Spoox or whoever is doing a great job with this new site but they seem to be forgetting the wider world of Disturbed fandom. We couldn't even get Warner to send the Indestructible package down here to New Zealand because of licencing issues. DisturbedOnes never had this problem - is that because we paid to be members and we therefore earned more perks like Meet & Greets etc.
