Mayhem Fest was amazing! I was in the front row for the three bands I wanted to see most Disturbed, Slipknot and 36 Crazyfists. I waited by the Mayhem stage for almost three hours because I want to be as close as possible Disturbed performed. The two bands that were on before Disturbed were Mastodon and Dragonforce. Both were a bore, Mastodon sounded ok, but there was absolutely no communication with the crowd whatsoever. Dragonforce was a bit better, but their singer was a butthead and their equipment kept breaking. Finally it was the moment I'd been waiting for almost three years, time to get ready for Disturbed. 25 minute break between Dragonforce and Disturbed was killing me! Finally, the lights die down and everyone is screaming at the top on their lungs. Then the curtain opens and a bald-headed man is rolled out on stage in a straight jacket and Hannibal Lecter mask. The One and Only Mr. David Draiman!
