I had only heard this song once before seeing this video and didn't know the lyrics or the subject matter and after watching this it brought up something I had blocked out for years. When I was 14 years old my grandmother had been experiencing intense physical pain for years and decided that ending her life was the only answer and although I cannot judge her or know personally what she was going through her action created a loss that changed our lives forever. I only hope others who are contemplating suicide get the help they need and realize that as their pain might be ending, for those of us that are left behind, our pain has just begun. I am so glad that David and the rest of Disturbed had the guts to do this song and video because there is alot more to life than feel good music and too many times we all would just like to sweep a subject like this under the carpet and hope it goes away but the fact is; this is probably happening to someone right now as I write this and as you read this. If you think someone needs help don't ignore the signs, reach out and do something. On a lighter note, I can't wait to hear the rest of "Indestructible" and catch you guys on tour, keep on kicking ass like I know you will!!!
Deliciously amazing. Great video, song for such an important subject.
Wow........That is freakin awesome !!!
From the perspective of anyone who has lost someone to suicide the video is very powerful. As a suicide survivor, it goes straight through the heart and resonates on several levels.
Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars. ~Kahlil Gibran
Absolutely amazing video guys. The musical aspect was even more kick a** than I first imagined. Dan, that was some crazy shredding, and David's performance was incredible as ever.
The subject matter was very powerful. You guys have balls to pull of something like that, especially in America today. David, I applaud you for speaking out to prevent suicide, it really shows that although "Inside The Fire" has the dark image, Disturbed cares about their fans.
Can't wait for the rest of the album
It is very intense and moving at the same time. It hit very close to home to me since I attempted suicide not so long ago. By the way, is there any way I can embedd this video on my MySpace page?
there is a youtube video of it already, you can embed that:
hope that helps :-)

Gonna go pre-order my CD NOW!
I'm speechless and some kind of sad! This video is awesome... it brings this subject very close to you.. Can't wait for the album, even if it's only half as good as inside the fire everyone will love it!Disturbed you rock!
Wow! That video was darker than my helmet.
The subject of suicide and death is never an easy one.
But as dark as the subject matter is, it was good to see how the guys in turn used it for something positive.
Well done guys.
Two thumbs up!
This is my favourite clip now... :)
I was speechless for a while. The Video is awesome,it´s so intense and sad.
I love it
the subject matter, the text and the video just make you think, you cant help but wonder about the feelings you would go through
If the rest of the album is half as good as this song it will be worth the wait.
Welcome back DISTURBED
This Is Your Life And It's Ending One Minute At A Time
To my mind it's great!I should admit that it's the best of all videos. Yes, there are perfect cameraman work and magnificent special effects, but I really enjoy the idea and play of Disturbed, especially David Draiman's play.=)
I believe Disturbed will make more videos with this new album.So...RESPECT FOR DISTURBED!It's wonderful! Thanks for you, as you you waken in me indescribable fellings!)))
Over power - in belief and we live, while we believe.
Well guys, I just watched "Inside the fire". Kinda sitting here speechless after. The text already had so much meaning and so much to say...and now seeing the video and hearing the intro. It does get to one and makes one think. It goes deep.
that video was nuts. loved it alot, but yes, suicide is a sensative topic as one of my closest mates has attempted twice.
keep up the good work guys, cant wait till i can get my hands on the new album!
Good damn. This video is very sad and amazing. A great camera, great effects but I was very grief when I was watched it.. But there was a scene when I smile. This is a solo when Dan Donagan use a "Under-Over" technique :) He's look like Michael Angelo Batio ;)
I am from India nd a die hard disturbed listener. This video is fuckin awesome nd d song 2.David Draiman nd his boys ROKX.
The video was absolutely beautiful--in a disturbed way, of course. A subject such as suicide is hard to deal with, especially if you're referring to an actual event that happened to evoke those emotions...this must have been a hard video to shoot. It came out wonderfully, and I love the disclaimer in the beginning. It shows how much Disturbed truly cares for their fans.
"lovegoddesstx" wrote: "it's important that people heard the intro". I'm from Poland and I good at reading English but not hearing. Can you write this what say Mr. Draiman? When he say it, i don't understand him but he look very sad.. I feel sad in me but i can't understand him. I can only heard: "My name is David Draiman. I sing for the band 'Disturbed'".
Please, write this to me!
A close family member of mine very recently committed suicide. I have felt so alone with the pain I have been dealing with the last few days. This video helped me feel better in a weird way, even though it made me cry. I wish I knew he needed help. I wanted to say THANKS!!
More awareness is needed on this subject, and the pain is left behind with loved ones. This video really expresses the truth. Looking forward to seeing you guys on the Mayhem Tour!!
This video is so intense. I love it and the lyrics. You can never go wrong with Disturbed. David has such a awesome voice. Whether it is hard or singing a beautiful song like Darkness. I can not wait to get the new CD!!
Luv me some Disturbed!!
I thought the video was great. As a survivor of several suicide attempts, it's important that people heard the intro. It might not be something that everyone understands, but that pain comes from an amazingly dark place, and there seems to be no getting out of it.
The scenes where they had David crying about did me in!! All together, a great job by a great group of guys!
