I think it's bullshit that the people that are dedicated enough to get off their ass and buy the special edition CD/DVD from the store, don't get any bonus tracks. (Yay, my 10th live version of DWTS and Stricken...) Yet, the people the just download the album get the extra song and all.

The least they could do is give the people that buy the album a code to download the song offline.

But yeah..I'm going to buy the album anyway since they are my favorite band...

Will I be able to buy the album with the DOD dvd included when it is released in stores?

ok i have a question: is there a possibility for me to buy the deluxe exclusive edition of the album if i live in Poland? there aren't any polish shops selling it(available to buy only via disturbed1.com store) and i'd rly like to get my hands on that poster, it looks amazing! I really hope for a response, i will buy the normal version of the album which is available in my country if i get no other options, but i would really love to buy this deluxe one.

any sort of explanation how could i get it to Poland would be deeply appreciated.

Am I going to be able to go like hot topic and preorder this or what? That's what I did last time around? I was the first in my city to get Indestructible

As far as I can judge the ltd. CD/DVD version advertised here is the same one as offered on Amazon and as included in the special ltd. collector’s box set (up for pre-order in the official Disturbed webstore).
The price for the CD/DVD is obviously $19.98, but the box set is $75. That makes $55.02 for 3 additional items: a t-shirt, a keychain and dog tags. Wow, that’s one cheap deal for the fans!
I’d like to mention the Indestructible internet edition in comparison, where we got an exclusive bonus track (!!!) and a (let’s say nearly) exclusive DVD (!!!) in a nice packaging. Apart from the nice packaging, which comes with the Asylum box edition too - where is the additional music/video content this time around?
But hey, it’s getting better: On top of the $75 box set with over-priced merchandise we are to buy the iTunes edition because of Leave It Alone and Ishfwilf (whatever this is – it’s not mentioned in the ad). Thank you Disturbed, I can’t part from my money fast enough!

Let me put it another way: It’s great that Disturbed is concerned about mother earth. But how about being concerned about commercialism too?

This is NOT the spirit of metal!
This is NOT what I would have expected from a band like Disturbed!

By the way, it is announced that Leave It Alone will appear on the Japanese version of Asylum. So much for exclusiveness!
But I won’t complain any longer, since I actually intend to buy that version to get Leave It Alone on CD. And whatever I said before: Musically Disturbed are the best!

too_disturbed's picture

Where's Ishfwilf, Leave It Alone, Mine, and Three?

I mean this is why there's online piracy. I'd pay extra for those tracks if there were on the CD.

Jeez..

This looks like a great deal, but I'm not sure if I should get it yet. If anyone can answer any of these questions, please reply.

1. Does the Amazon Limited Edition (http://www.amazon.com/Asylum-Limited-CD-DVD-Disturbed/dp/B003U6YEE4/ref=...) come with the poster and expanded artwork? It doesn't mention those things in the description.

2. How large is the poster?

3. Does this CD contain the song "Ishfwilf"?

I know I'm not the only one wondering these things, so if you have an answer, please comment.

haha i want the poster, and cd is better,by me so im getting my aunt to get it,ill sadly have to give her my $20 that i was gonna waste on a game card.but hey its worth it,also im gonna get a guitar for Christmas, all i need is lessons, even though i could play some cool songs on an acoustic in like a month and that was at school :3 i feel special

Corruptor555's picture

Stupid... really wanted the hard copy CD, but i guess im sticking to iTunes because of the extra song. If youre paying 10 bucks more for the CD, why wouldnt you add the extra song? Thats just stupid. Well, Disturbed is perfect, except for the marketing part....

DPtheGod's picture

I pre-ordered mine on Amazon. Free delivery-date shipping! Can't wait for this... new album will be nothing short of magnificent. The new song is fucking harsh. Much love Disturbed!

Sitris's picture

Before you guys had it on the website! haha my local store sent me an e-mail saying there was a ltd edition and i could just add another 5 dollars to get it, and i was like "HELL YEAH!"

Paul08's picture

Ok, so I have a question. I recently just pre ordered the limited edition Box set of Asylum. It comes with a t- shirt, some dog tags, the CD and DVD. It was from the Disturbed Webstore. I was wondering if these two pre orders are the same or different.

DPtheGod's picture

To me, it looks like the version you got has all of this version's contents, plus the other stuff. You got a good deal!

Disturbed1 Team's picture

Those packages are different.

Paul08's picture

So will the one I pre ordered have all this other stuff or not.

viscontino's picture

does anyone know when it will be shipped?

ABlume's picture

Leave It Alone only available through iTunes? What the f***? The whole promotion thing for the new album gets more and more frustrating! I am disturbed, but not in a good way.

CDN Metal Fan's picture

are the discs for the limited edition the same as the one advertised on Amazon.ca?

The missing B-sides are probably on the European and Asian editions. The same thing was done with the Indestructible ones. I pre-ordered the ITunes deluxe edition last night, mainly for the additional track. Stricken and DWtS are amazing songs, though I don’t understand why we’re seeing the same tracks on Asylum when the Riviera versions were released already on the I-Tunes version of Indestructible. It would have been great to hear some live versions of some of the Indestructible material. As for the B-sides, Parasite was released on ITunes eventually, though Run never was. It was great to see a couple of classic B-sides on the remastered version of The Sickness, which was the main reason why I bought that CD. Although Disturbed will hopefully be around for years to come, it would be great if you guys eventually released a CD of exclusively B-sides. To be honest, I’m a Disturbed junkie, and will probably buy one of the limited edition CDs as well as the iTunes version. I also downloaded the Asylum single a couple of days ago, and ended up buying it on ITunes today...it really was a fantastic track, well worth the $1.29. You guys deserved the money, though I appreciate the free release. If there is some way that you could put the other two Asylum B-sides onto ITunes, then I for one would definitely buy them, even if you had to charge a bit extra. It would be sweet if you could throw in Run, too, though that’s probably just wishful thinking, lol. I’ve been listening to your music for five years now...honestly, you guys have brought me through some really rough times. You’re the exception to all of my usual rules of discretion when it comes to music shopping. I actually ended up buying three versions of Indestructible (one off ITunes, one from HMV, and one for some random reason I don’t remember, lol). I listened to Ten Thousand Fists literally every day for a solid year, not to mention the awesomeness that was The Sickness and Believe. The day after Another Way to Die was released, my ITunes program claimed that I had played it 198 times, lol. Oh, and before I forget, PLEASE, for love of the brotherhood, COME BACK TO OTTAWA!!! I had to miss your concert at Scotiabank Place last year, and have regretted it ever since. If you ever do make it back here, then look for me in the mosh pit. I would literally hitchhike to Toronto if I could afford a concert ticket.

I hate the fact that iTunes always gets a exclusive track. I mean if you are going to drop twenty bucks on an limited edition CD/DVD, those people should get access to that track as well.
