Hardly think this will be featured in asking you guys these questions and sad I won't see this live since my hours got changed that day til later that evening to get out of work.

So here goes,

I'm Erik from Muscatine, IA. Wanted to first say that the last 2 years I've had my own struggles, and like you've heard this before, your music has inspired me. Yes, some songs may specify relationships between a man and a woman, but I think it can relate to "other" types of relationships if you know what I mean, and I can still relate to what the music talks about, and how I use it for my own inspiration to take life day by day, no matter how much the odds are stacked against me.

Here is a couple of questions.

I loved how you guys did an intro for Asylum. Do you guys have it in your mind to do these again in future albums? Make them more.....I guess you can say......."epicy???" I would love to hear more 7+ minute songs from you guys.

2nd: What are some things you still want to accomplish as musicians? Bands you still want to tour with? Places you have yet to go to play in front of?

Thanks for reading anyway!!

Hey guys, me and my two friends drove from Pittsburgh to Columbus to see you at Uproar. You and the other bands put on one kick ass show!

On the DVD for the limited edition Indestructible album, you guys said it was your first chance in self-producing an album.

My question is 2-fold: What was one of your biggest surprises and/or one of the biggest things you learned in being able to self-produce an album? The second part to my question is, how much in terms of lee way does the label give you guys creatively in producing your albums now? Thanks, keep up the awesome music!!

Hey im from Holton MI and I normally go by the name Mistress Parasite <3

My first question is for Mikey and Dan, what I really want to know is how Mikey, Dan, and Fuzz all met. Did they go to highschool together or something?

Also, David, would you ever consider using a song a fan has written if you actually liked it enough? (with their permition of course)

p.s I love you guys and you inspire all of my art :D

Disturbed, Hope you're reading this. I've got a big problem. My dad was pre-ordering you're new album for me, with dvd and everything. But when he was almost done It stood that it couldn't ship to Sweden! :(
And it was pretty much limited edition so i'm getting a bit scared of time, how long it will still be on sale! Please, if you all are reading can you fix it? Fathers e-mail is

jouni.koykka@gmail.com

And if you're actually reading this I'll take my time and say: You're the best! :)
I hope that you can help me!

Blackarrow015's picture

My questions are quite simple...
1.To Moyer:What inspires you to come up with such mind-searing licks and rhythms? Is it purely you or does everyone pitch in?

2.And If you were able to.would you duo with Genesis/Phil Collins?

3.Towards David: Would you ever enter into a Dana White look alike competition?

To start, Disturbed has been my ALL-Time favorite band since The Sickness.
I saw your show at Uproar, and I was wondering if you plan to have a show that is that mind-blowing and epic through your touring cycle for Asylum, and are there any plans for a Music As A Weapon 5?
Thank you for your time and having an impact on my, and so many other people lives. You are the best hard rock band!

Fear666's picture

Your music has been my asylum for the past 10 years. Without it I probably wouldn't be alive. I have a tattoo on my shoulder blade of the band logo in remembrance of all you have and continue to give me. Your music is truly a weapon. I will be waiting for the day I can meet you and get my tattoo signed. Until then here are my questions:

1. What is your favorite album thus far?

2. If a chance to collaborate with another band/vocalist comes along whom would you want to do the song/album with?

Thanks for you time,

Danielle

Drop me a line if you ever want to talk.

First off, I want to start by saying that I have been a fan since the Sickness, and you guys have remained my favorite band throughout the entire length. I must say congrats on the new album, You have yet to disappoint.

I have two question, if you can't answer them, I understand.

A- Why did the video for Asylum not follow the meaning that David described? That song is special to me in many ways, one of which being that it is true with memories of my father, who I have been abandoned by. I was looking for a video closer to the meaning, so I was a bit disappointed by the video for Asylum. I was was just wondering what caused the change.

B- Dan, what are your favorite pieces of gear? and what kind of effects do you use? You are one of my biggest idols for guitar so I was just wondering.

If you have time to answer my questions, thank you. If you don't, thank you anyways for doing what you do! I am, and always will be, a Disturbed1!

I've been a Disturbed fan since The Sickness album first came out. I've have seen the band live numerous times and have followed the band ever since. My question is "why so much opera like singing?" It deters me and others have talked to from buying the new Disturbed albums. A friend of mine let me borrow a copy of the Asylum album. There are some really good songs on the new album, but most of the songs end up going down the toilet with the singing. Indestructible was the same way. Too much singing and melody. Going back and listening to The Sickness album, there was hardly any opera like singing on it. I just wonder where Disturbed lost their edginess and why they thought it would be a good idea to sing so much? It ruins songs that could be amazing. The song entitled The Animal is a great example. It starts out very heavy and when it goes into the chorus David goes off on this opera singing right in the middle of being heavy and it ruins the song. I wish Disturbed would go back to being edgy then i would most definitely buy the entire album rather than just buying the couple great songs on the album.

David thank you for writing the song Never Again, I think you should keep those memories alive. I am someone who grew up hearing those stories, too. What made you write about that part of your life now? What is the band's favorite song on the new Cd? What is your favorite song to do live? What took you so long to use a video screen in your live tour? How is it balancing family and touring? What bands are you impressed with that are on the radio today? What bands are you really annoyed with? What is Dan's favorite guitar solo in a Disturbed song? And good luck with the New Cd and with touring, I love you guys.

Hi, I have a few questions:

It's said that "A great cover can do wonders for a song". You've covered songs by some iconic 80's bands (Tears for Fears, Genesis) - why?

Reading some of the fan postings and questions, it's obvious your music has profound influence on them, giving them strenght to overcome adversity and fight their demons. How do you feel about that? Are there any bands that have similar effect on you?

And, I'm also joining the pleas from my fellow Aussies - when are we going to see you Down Under?
