IAMWHATIAM. THE REASON YOU ARE ANCHORED TO THIS FIREBALL.
I just wanted to give a huge THANK YOU to Disturbed for rocking the hell outta The Pearl Room last night!! They were absolutely FABULOUS!! I was in the front row up against the barracade. It was insane, but WELL WORTH IT!!! Thank you for kicking the hell out of the South Side suburbs again. It WAS a long time since you were back, but it really was worth the wait. That was really a special treat for us South Side Chicago fans.
THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!!
For those of you that missed it: here is their set list (not in the exact order). I may have missed a song or two.
3. The Game
4. Droppin' Plates
5. Shout (David brought his new girlfriend, Jasmine, on stage to have us all wish her a Happy B-Day). David said that she wanted them to do a song they hadn't done in a loooong time...and that song was Shout
7. Just Stop
8. Perfect Insanity
9. Land of Confusion
11. 10,000 Fists
1. Inside The Fire
WILL YOU CARRY ME AWAY?!?! Hmm. Will I? hahaha.
I hate repetition and songs that are just overused. Like with a passion, even by bands that i really love, such as Broken by Seether (my 3rd or so favorite band, and sorry rose haha) and most of Evanescence's first popular CD. But one song i think i will never tire of, despite the thousands of times i have heard it.... Down With The Sickness!!! Seriously, I just listened to the song again and was struck by how it still gets me going even though if i heard any other song that many times i would probably remove it from my itunes.
JoeG died December 11,2004 at 21 years old of a self inflicted gunshot.
Disturbed was always a favorite of my son Joe. He shared his cd's with me and I have one in the car cd player almost all the time. I love Disturbed myself, but their music is also my way of remembering all the things he taught us all.
I found the music of Inside the fire very compelling, even before I truelly understood what I was hearing.....
Recently Disturbed played in Ft. wayne, the show sold out before I could get tickets, I do things still that we would have done together, it is my way of keeping him alive and honoring him....My daughter however did get to go, she took with her a photo of Joeg....He lives on through us all....
anyone who lives in indy knows what i'm talking about. "ditch mitch" is everywhere. but if we would have ditched mitch earlier i wouldn't be able to see DISTURBED in aug. or get the box set.
i dont personaly get into politcics but yeahhhhhh.
at least i'll be able to go to the pavillion at verison. it's better thn sitting on my brothers roof listening to the fant roar of the crowd and hope to hear whats going on on stage.
see you aug. 13
