I Bought "Another Way To Die" At Walmart Yesterday. Great Song, And The B-Side Is A Great Cover Of Judas Priest's "Living After Midnight". Mike Plays The Painkiller Drum Intro Before The Song, And It's Awesome.

I truly hope this that DOD as stated in the news, since it's announcement months ago stating we'd get it in May, is not what we've waited for; that "DOD" is a review of the last 10 years. I've been awaiting a full length dvd/concert/behind the scenes since MOL, which was quite amazing and quite ambitious for a band to release upon its early inception.

Although I eagerly anticipate ASYLUM next month, I can't help but feel a little gutted if we don't get a live offering. When a band just has its 5th studio release in 10 years and doesn't offer much in the way of other live and non-live entertainment, it's a hard pill to swallow.

In one respect, it makes up wait, perhaps increasing our affinity of a new release, but even Godsmack have given us a lot of live and extras along the way of their tenure.

I didn't want my first post in a looooong time to be remotely like this, because I know that DISTURBED will not let us down with their music as their first 4 albums are phenomenal. I just hope we get something else. It probably won't happen now as it may overshadow the up and coming tour and people may be satisfied with the dvd, though as I write these words it just sounds incorrect.

I cannot wait. Disturbed is my favorite band of all time. There is not one song that I don't like. And just my opinion, I think Another Way To Die is badass. Not seeing " Mine" or " Three" on the list makes me wonder if those songs will be bonus tracks on the special edition. Just a guess.

Magnoodle's picture

My jury's still out honestly.
Another Way to Die really didn't do that much for me. Then again it wouldn't be the first Disturbed song that's like that.
I'm a huge Disturbed fan, I listen to their music every day when I walk to and from work. I have the original version of The Guy from The Sickness tattooed on my arm. I can and have listen to just about any one of their songs a dozen times and not get tired of it. Another Way to Die just really didn't do it for me. There were a couple of songs of Believe that I didn't particularly like either. I dunno, we'll have to see.

analogkid's picture

To hear more of the power balads from this album, if I saw Another Way to Die as a title before I heard the song, I would have never guessed it would be a cheesy song about the fantasy land of global warming. So impossible to say just seeing the titles, hopefully it takes a turn for the better after that embarrassing first single they put out, adding them to the likes of Bette Midler's "Wind Beneath My Wings", but I am crossing my fingers that a song like Remnants isn't about oil on the beaches in the Gulf. But if it is, I'm sure you all will spout off how awesome and mind blowing it is, I love it!! Time will tell..

Reaper524's picture

This is gonna be sweet, but Im like the previous, where's "Mine" and "Three"? And why aren't they starting with Asylum? Oh well, see all these questions just means that this album needs to be out NOW!!! Rock on!!

Disturbed1_86's picture

"Mine" and "Three"? guess they didn't make it, hopefully we'll get to hear those soon like we got to hear "Parasite" early, especially since "Mine" was supposed to be on "Indestructible" I think...
