Lisa is an absolutely gorgeous dog! People don't realize how hard it is to lose a pet, because, to some of us, our pets are a part of our family. I lost my bassett hound over five years ago to cancer, and I still get sad from time to time. My other dog, a Yorkshire Terrier (I've had for almost ten years), keeps me on my toes as much as my two young girls do. Our pets our an indefinite part of our lives, whether other people want to believe it or not.

Agreed. For the most part pets (especially dogs) are more apart of our lives because we can find solace with them unlike people because pets don't have alternate motives. I could find more peace just lying out in the grass on a sunny day with my pup than speaking to another person no matter how long I've known them.
It'd be a great topic for David to write a song for; the deep companionship between two seemingly different creatures.

The best dog I ever had was not a dog. My Girl was a gray wolf someone dumped off at our house. I never felt true love, loyalty, and devotion until I was accepted into her pack. She lived with us for 13 years before we lost her to old age. Now wolfs and wolf hybrids are illegal in several states. Having lived with one, I simply can't understand why. My heart goes out to you my friend. I hope that you find another companion soon.

Sorry for you loss. I lost my baby of 14 1/2 years on 3/17/09. He was a pure white alaskan malamute that I got at 4 weeks old and miss him dearly. I now have a rescued 1 1/2 year old black lab/shepard mix that i got at 3 months old named Devon. I would never be without a puppy. They are my children. I have more respect for dogs than most humans and my husband feels the same way

David I Am So Very Sorry I Do Know How You Feel Inside I Lost My Best Friend He Was 165 lb Rott And He Loved Me Know Matter What Kind Of Mood I Was In. They Tell You It Will Get Easier Well In Some Ways Yes, But In Others No!!! I Still Cry Sometimes And Still Miss Him A Lot He Was "ALWAYS" With Me And It Is Like Loosing Your Soul Sometimes. Never Felt This Way Before And I Hope I Never Do Again!!! You Can Never Fill That Spot With Anything Else I Know I Have Tried. My Heart Goes Out To You "ALWAYS"

So sorry for your loss of Lisa, I can understand how hard it is...being a dog lover myself, I lost mine a year 1/2 ago after 14 years. She was beautiful and I can be sure you gave her a wonderful doggie life ; )

Hey David I was so sad when I watched the show and heard about your baby Lisa.
I already lost one of my dogs a few years back and I know the pain that this brings.
But we will never forget them because their part of us so I´m sure Lisa has a plays in your heart as well.
