This song represents my life sadly. As of the past year..? I've so desperately wanted to end my life beacuse of how my ex-girlfreind left me. but I cant becuase I to dont want to betray our God. Despite how much I ask for help I am being condemdemnd. I say I cant take it but obviously I can as I'm alive right now, I would tell somone but I fear being rebuked. Though still He seems so determined to widle me down to where I will have to make a decive choise between abandoning what I know or sticking with it despite how hurt I am. This really brought me to terms with how life works i guess... another weird tudbiy of this is I'm just turned 15.

The song is very good but in my opinion there is something I don't understand. It was said that the devil was spaking with you and saying: "It is beyond your control / Will you ever meet again?" but after that the devil changes his mind and says: "Give your soul to me, /For eternity /Release your life,/ To begin another time with her /End your grief with me, /There's another way, /Release your life, /Take your place inside the fire with her"
Except this tiny problem the song is realy great!

i have read a lot of the postings about the cd and the video.some people say the disc is the greatest thing they have ever heard, while others believe that it totally sucks. personal preference is a bitch to understand. one persons opinion does not negate the validity of anothers. the true worth of a band is not how you or i see/hear them. it is how they see themselves. if someone thinks the band is a joke it will not upset the band. if the band thinks they themselves are a joke then they must decide what course lies ahead. i do not see that happening with disturbed. they believe that they have something to say musically, lyrically and visually.when a band can tie all those things together the fans are rewarded with the "inside the fire" video.
so enjoy the disc at a basic primal level and at the same time try to enjoy it at a more cerebral level as well.

Ok. As you all know, this video is based on suicide. As the video depicts his characters girlfriend hanging herself, it is actually based on a true event that happened to him(David Draiman). Back in high school, he had a girlfriend that was older than him as she was in college, he just starting high school. She was an heroin addict, took the wrong path, and committed suicide, which is now a common problem in everyday life. He made this song and video in memory of his ex-girlfriends life.

I know the lyrics say "she's just another lost soul," but I can't understand why she would commit suicide! It makes no sense!

i really have to say thank you to Disturbed for this video and their music, they really arent afraid to face issues that need to be faced like suicide and depression when this video came out i was going through and still am in the middle of a very testing point in my life to where i had thoughts of suicide so bad where i felt i was just seconds away from doing away with myself its a horrible and very hard thing to stomach trying to hold on and not give in, when this video came out i broke down and cryed hard at my computer i dont know if it was lucky but it came at the perfect time that day i needed to see it so thank you disturbed for making meaningful music this stuff does help thanks oh yeah and ill be seeing you sat july 12 in concert you guys rocked it before cant wait to see you do it again

I also had a girlfriend commit suicide when i was younger. Although I could never portray it on a video without goin insane or rehashing the torment. More power 2 you. Thats why I love you guys. I've never put much faith in messages that music videos put out until I watched this one. Inside The Fire has to be the only one that starts with a PSA from the lead singer. Finally someone with the balls to address a subject head on, and not just hint towards it. Amazing...

well, i heard it at the hot topic listening party last friday, but apparently it is available for download, and the link is posted in alot of blogs. argentina blogspot or something like that, idc. but to answer the question, which was no doubt rhetorical, disturbed takes time writing their songs and releases nothing but the best, unlike many pop artists who throw shit together with a beat and repetitive lyrics that don't necessarily have to make sense.

how come thier are people saying the album sucks and stuff about the rest of the album when it hasnt come out yet/? OR is thier some way you can listen to it, good timing though it came out a couple of days after one my friends commited suicide, lots of my friends were so devasted by it they were thingking about doin it 2. I love it when people have no idea what the hell they are talking about. The CD, in it's entirety, can be listened to NOW. I listened to it last night. It's one hell of a CD, I personally think it's they're best work to date.

Inside the Fire is probably one of the weakest songs on the album. how you could like it (or think it's "cool" or whatever) and not like the rest of the songs is beyond me, but of course everyone has their own opinion. i just wanna say that i totally disagree with yours for the sake of everybody else who hasn't had a chance to hear the album, so to you all, don't be mislead into thinking that the album is weaker than the single. it most certainly is not in any way
