Has anybody else noticed that the itunes LP edition shows lyrics that don't actually exist in the song. When he says "You're going to fail this time, for the world to see", goes into a chorus, and then (itunes lp lyrics) say "Around the world throughout the pages of our history Too many souls have fallen victim to brutality, In every Continent the horrors unfold, too many lost to the cause of antipathy, never again can we allow another genocide we must begin the walk across the great divide, too many people have a tale to be told, a holocaust of their own, for the world to see" They are right inside the lyrics but don't exist in the song, its a shame because I think that could have really added to the song.
Got tickets to the Denver show yesterday, can't wait.
What music do you guys listen to?
Do any of you actually practice any religion?
I liked the video, obviously they did not perform in this video but it would not have made sense to. Where could they really have put their footage, it would not have fit anywhere. They were making the point that we are destroying our planet, and the video shows this. "Peachy crap about the planet", really? The problem does not go away just because people get bored of it, until we change, we need more songs and videos about the environment like this one. Even though they did not perform (which is good), it still far exceeded my expectations, it was a really good video.
I don't see why it is bad that disturbed deals with a big issue in society, I think it is good that they don't avoid the issues (they deal with other ones such as suicide with inside the fire). Did they do it to make money, any song that disturbed puts out is going to be popular. They didn't need to put out a song about the environment, they wanted to, they could have had a hit if they put out Asylum first.
Blown away by this song, beats any past disturbed song away easily. Trust me, that is not an easy thing to accomplish. I can't tell, who are the new vocals, is it one of the other members of the band or is it just modified vocals. Even though a lot of people say that there is too much singing, I think that that is what makes this song so great, a lot of powerful passionate vocals along with great sound. I liked another way to die, it was my favorite song ever until this song, but I was hoping the rest of the album would not have that same sound (not a lot of different lyrics, a little repetitive which is alright as long as the whole album is not like that), and those fears are gone and I am looking forward to the album. Love the fast singing.
